Every August, Black Girl Picnic gathers Black women and girls in one place to rest, celebrate, and be seen.
This year, we're in a new home in the heart of Detroit — our biggest gathering yet, and one that requires full perimeter fencing to keep everyone safe on-site.
It's a city requirement, and it costs $5,654.
We're asking our community to help us fund it directly.
