Black Girl Bus Ride

Black communities have been historically excluded from blue spaces — lakes, beaches, and waterfronts — through segregation, policy, and the simple barrier of distance and cost.

The Black Girl Bus Ride is our response.

We chartered two full motor coaches, put a licensed therapist on every bus, and created a container where Black women can heal, laugh, journal, sing, and simply exist in motion, in community, and on the way to something beautiful.

When we arrive at Lake Michigan, we don't just see the water. We reclaim it.

The Ride Is the Program

From the moment you board, you're held. Each bus is facilitated by a licensed therapist or social worker — not to run a clinical session, but to hold space for whatever comes up when Black women finally exhale.
